Jack Cartmell, Board Advisor
Jack has over 30 years of experience in the field of Information and Applications Technology. Jack founded Solutions Partners, Inc. in 2001 to deliver premier applications consulting services to companies in the Silicon Valley and partnered with Simplex for over 5 years. Jack has held various executive positions in Fortune 500 companies and in smaller companies as well. He first joined EDS at the outset of his career. Prior to leaving EDS for a start-up company, Jack had management responsibility for Blue Cross / Blue Shield and Standard Business Accounts. Jack then joined information resources to help build the software company into HP’s second largest VAR, which resulted in a subsequent merger with Hewlett-Packard. At HP, Jack held diverse positions as a Sales and Support Manager, R&D Manager, and Marketing Manager where he was promoted from within the company to accept new and challenging roles. Jack subsequently left HP to form a consulting practice for the process manufacturing industry. His company was folded into Core Technology Group where Jack was VP of Sales and Marketing. Jack helped grow Core to a point where it was then purchased by FutureNext, where he served as VP of Sales until departing to form Solutions Partners. Jack holds degrees in both Computer Science and Business Administration from Washington State University.
Jay Chandran, Chief Executive Officer
Jay Chandran has several years of diversified experience in the fields of Finance, Accounting, Business Process Analysis and ERP consulting. He has held senior positions in the Oracle eBusiness Suite Consulting, a regional accounting firm in California and Corporate Controllership in the industry. As the Managing Partner of SimpleX Data Technologies – a managed XBRL service provider company in Los Gatos, California, Jay has been actively involved in the XBRL-US consortium in the past. With his domain and technology background, Jay has been instrumental in developing TagEzeeTM that is being used now by SimpleX to render XBRL services to companies filing with the US SEC in XBRL. Jay is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status) from California and holds a Masters degree in Accounting from Ole Miss.
Bhanumathi, Chief Technology Officer
Bhanu brings along more than 15 years of diversified experience encompassing detailed engineering of petrochemical / power plants, software consulting and project management, and recently HR consulting. During her software stint, she had designed, developed and managed large-scale internet banking implementation projects for banks in the Europe and South-east Asia region. Prior to Software industry, she had consulted for top engineering companies for detailed engineering of Petro-chemical and Power plants in India and South-east Asia.
Bhanu holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from Madurai Kamaraj University , India , and an MBA from Preston University, US ( Singapore campus ). Having been a topper throughout her academics, she has set a very high standard for herself. That has helped her succeed in all her varied assignments and ventures.
Joanie Carminito, Vice President of Sales
As VP of Sales, Joanie is responsible for new business development, and client relationship management. Her professional background includes 17 years of experience in sales, and business management in various industries, including hospitality, equity compensation, technology and financial services. She completed her sales and business management education at Roderick School of Business.
Joanie transitioned to technology and worked with companies like IBM and Sun Microsystems where she consistently exceeded sales revenue quotas. Prior to joining SimpleX Joanie spent 6 years focused on new business development, in the equity compensation industry for various companies including Stock & Option Solutions and Planmosaic. Throughout her career, she has played a major role in new business development, secured numerous certifications related to sales and marketing, as well as managed and developed sales teams with great success in sales to many Fortune 500 companies.
David Wright, Vice President of Marketing
David Wright has over 15 years experience providing management and communications services to companies such as Yamaha, TSC (Nasdaq: TSCC), and others. He has also played a management role in several nonprofit organizations, serving as CEO for the Santa Cruz County Chapter American Red Cross, and others. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University, is bilingual Spanish, and is a Rotary International Scholar.
Dave is a co-founder of Santa Cruz County Friends of the Rail Trail and continues to serve on their Board of Directors. In recent years Dave has spent his spare time coaching high school basketball and teaching multimedia development at Cabrillo College. He and his wife have two children and have lived in Santa Cruz County since 1991.
